Where to Host Business Meetings in Sydney

    OliviaBy OliviaSeptember 23, 2025Updated:September 23, 2025No Comments4 Mins Read
Business meeting onboard a luxury dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour

When it comes to business, the right setting makes all the difference. Sydney, with its iconic harbour views and world-class hospitality, is home to a variety of venues that can add flavour to a board meeting, seminar or large-scale conference into something memorable. Whether you’re after waterfront elegance or central-city convenience, here are some of the best options to consider.

    Sydney Dinner Cruises

Few meeting venues can rival the charm of Sydney Harbour itself. Hosting a business event aboard a luxury dinner cruise offers the unbeatable combination of panoramic Sydney views (hello Harbour Bridge and Opera House!), fine dining and a relaxed yet impressive atmosphere. A dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour adds a layer of exclusivity and flair that’s perfect for networking events, team gatherings or impressing clients with a uniquely Sydney experience. You could choose from a premium catamaran, a luxury glass boat or a vintage paddlewheeler. And if you’re meeting with a larger group, it is recommended to hire a private deck!

    Sydney Masonic Centre

For those who prefer a venue rooted in prestige and architectural distinction, the Sydney Masonic Centre is your go-to. With 13 adaptable spaces, the venue accommodates everything from intimate board meetings to large conferences. Among the standouts is the Banquet Hall, with soaring ceilings and rich timber details that suit gala dinners or high-profile conferences. The Grand Lodge offers a tiered theatre layout ideal for presentations, while the Marble Foyer makes a striking first impression for cocktail functions or networking.

For mid-size events, the Ionic Room provides capacity for up to 250 guests, enhanced by digital concierge services, and the Boardroom serves perfectly for executive-level discussions. Adding convenience, SMC partners with nearby hotels—many offering discounts for delegates—making it both practical and prestigious.

    Hilton Sydney Hotel

The Hilton Sydney sets the benchmark for large-scale corporate events. Spread across four floors, its 4,000 square metres of space is backed by a professional support staff and state-of-the-art AV support. The Grand Ballroom, with room for 1,100 guests, is a standout for conferences or gala functions, while the exhibition space accommodates up to 48 booths. In addition to the ballroom, the hotel’s 28 meeting rooms cater to workshops, board meetings and breakout sessions. Centrally located and well-equipped, the Hilton combines scale, service and flexibility under one roof.

    Fraser Suites Sydney

Fraser Suites offers a modern and stylish venue for corporate hosting in the CBD. Its six function rooms, filled with natural light and high ceilings, provide a refreshing atmosphere for both small meetings and mid-sized conferences. Spaces can be configured in multiple layouts—whether theatre, boardroom, classroom style etc., —accommodating up to 140 guests.

The venue is particularly well-suited for workshops, seminars and presentations that demand seamless AV integration, webcasting capabilities and reliable high-speed Wi-Fi. With a prime location near major transport links and the option for tailored catering menus, Fraser Suites blends practicality with contemporary sophistication.

    PARKROYAL Darling Harbour

Conveniently located near the CBD, this venue is the perfect choice for small to larger events—with a diverse range of meeting rooms. For large gatherings, the Blackwattle Room holds up to 273 guests and can be divided into smaller sections if needed. Mid-sized groups might opt for the Barkers Room, a versatile space filled with natural light and complete with a buffet area. For smaller meetings, the Birley Boardroom and Walsh Bay Room offer private and professional settings.

Beyond the meeting spaces, PARKROYAL’s ABODE Bistro. Bar, which can accommodate up to 150 guests, offers a stylish setting for conferences, post-meeting lunches or networking drinks, emphasising seasonal produce and contemporary design. Together, these choices make the hotel adaptable for everything from formal conferences to informal gatherings.

So, Sydney’s corporate event venues are as diverse as the city itself. Whether you picture your next meeting aboard a harbour dinner cruise, inside a grand ballroom or in a luxury CBD suite, there’s always a space to match your vision. Each of these venues not only provides functionality but also leaves an impression—ensuring your event is remembered long after the last handshake.
