    Appliance Repair & Tips

How can I help reduce my need for home appliance repair?

Keeping Your Appliance Clean Is Important

In this day and age, when it comes to usage of appliances, they are a natural part of our everyday lives. Like most things, appliances improve the way we operate our homes, offices, and businesses. While these appliances can better our daily tasks, they are known to break down and become inoperable. As products become capable of performing more and more tasks, the chances of them breaking down increase with each use. Warranties are typically offered with new appliances, but are known to only protect a limited number of issues for a limited amount of time. When faced with this situation, homeowners and businesses are left with a broken product and feel the only way forward is to replace the broken product. However, appliance repair can often be a cost-effective and convenient alternative to replacement. In this article, we will explain which appliances we specialize in repairing and when to call in a technician to troubleshoot your appliance issues.

We are experts in residential appliances in the Dallas area. Getting your appliances in your home worked on by a licensed and insured appliance repair company is a must and the law. As a locally owned and operated business since 1974, our professional technicians are highly trained in repairing appliances that have improved your daily routines for decades. Our team has experience with appliance repair and have the knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues on the spot. With this said, let’s take a look at what type of common appliances we often repair like refrigerator repair.

    Refrigerator Repair & Maintenance

One of the most important aspects of your home is being able to store and cook food. To preserve and store food that you want to cook at a later time, you could conveniently store that food in your refrigerator. If that refrigerator happens to break or fail at keeping your food at the right temperature, then the food spoils and you are in need of refrigerator repair. If your appliance equipment does not perform correctly, begin by checking for leaks. Leaks can happen internally or externally, and can be hard to spot as your refrigerator will slowly lose its ability to cool. When a refrigerator runs with technical issues, it may over perform to compensate, causing higher energy consumption and expensive billing from your energy provider. Other issues can be harder to spot, and even be undetectable without a technician, for instance, when blockages appear to slow the functionality of your pipes, causing this appliance to struggle. If repairing is not the option you are looking for, we can replace your refrigerator as well.

    Ice Machine Repair

Many homes today rely on ice machines to provide ice throughout the year. When an ice machine breaks, usually it comes with more issues than just not making ice as water tends to still flow in the ice maker. This can cause water to leak inside of your freezer, and depending on the design, can lead to flooding your room or office if left unchecked. In most cases, these types of problems stem from either a frozen supply line or even a simple clog in the line. No matter which issue you come across, we believe our technicians can solve any issues involving blockages and even leaks caused from a faulty ice maker. Ice machine repair is not always an easy task but our technicians specialize in ice machine repair.

    Stove & Oven Repair

When cooking in your home , you often have a stove that uses an electric, gas, or convection range, producing heat to cook your food or boil your water. If you are unable to produce heat, then it may be time for a repair. More importantly, if you are using a gas stove, you want to call a professional technician immediately, as leaking gas can be harmful and worse, fatal if left unchecked. Our technicians are trained to handle all ranges and issues. Getting special order parts can be tricky for oven repair jobs but we specialize in oven repair and can track down most parts.

Like stove tops, your oven is used to help cook food at home. When your oven begins to show signs of breaking, it can start with your heating elements getting too hot, changing the outcome of your meals. Other issues like pilot lights or fans can produce problems that you may not be aware of right away, which can be costly if not dealt with. Make sure if you notice anything not working like normal you get it checked out by an experienced appliance repair technician.

Washing Machine & Clothes Dryer Repair

Another important aspect of a home is the ability to clean clothing. Preventing washing machine repair and clothes dryer repair can sometimes come down to maintenance and operational technique. Make sure to clean the dryer lint after every load, and never overload your washing machine. These two things will help prevent 50% of all washing machine and dryer repair needs. With a faulty washing machine, you may be spending unnecessary money using coin operated machines to do your laundry. You may have had a faulty washer in the past that has leaked water. Other times, you may have heard a washer making loud noises. Washer problems do not just stop with issues like these, but also may show signs that they need repair when your clothes leave behind a bad smell after being washed. The most obvious of washer troubles can be seen by your washer not spinning at all. All of the issues can be repaired by our professional technicians.

Like washing clothes, we also like to dry our clothes for many reasons, like preventing mildew from forming on our damp clothes. Getting your clothes dry without danger is a must. Check your dryer regularly for lint buildup in hard to access places. Problems with clothes dryers are harder to diagnose. Some signs are your clothes not being dry or just being too hot after doing a laundry load. Having a blocked dryer vent can prevent the dryer from performing properly and can lead to fire hazards. Heat can escape the dryer preventing clothes from drying at all. Let our technicians find what issues you have and how to make your appliance repair great!
