Can’t Ignore Before Reached Level 85!
What should you be doing before you reach level 85 in Cataclysm. You will need to decide what zone you will be questing in. Is it going to be in Vasher or Mount Hyjal or maybe in both?
All of this depends on the rewards you get in these zones, but also the faction. As you can get yourself different rare items and also epic items as you get to exalted.

No matter what, then I would highly recommend you to reach friendly, as you can purchase yourself a Tabard. This Tabard will be useful at level 85 when you head into Normal and Heroic Dungeons.

Rewards And Reputation
Whenever you slay something in the Dungeon, you will also be rewarded with reputation with the faction specific Tabard. There will, of course, be some factions you can just skip, as you won’t need any of the rewards. But as you get to honored, you can also get yourself 333 item level equipment. These items will significantly boost your item level and allow you to get into a heroic event even quicker.
So if possible, try to be questing in a specific zone until you reach honored. As these items also require you to be level 83, so you could be using them as you’re leveling up. Talking about leveling up when you go to the different zones, you will most likely also find one of the new rare enemies.
And these will be important to slay as to have a guaranteed chance to drop a rare item. You might not be able to use the rare item you find yourself, but then you could post it on Auction house to make a bit of Cataclysm gold and this gold we can use later in the guide to help us level up even quicker.

Dungeon Explore
But first you should also head into a Dungeon or many different Dungeons. Every time you slay a enemy, there’s also a chance that you will get a new upgrade.
But those of you being so unlucky and not winning any of the items, then don’t worry. There are still going to be many different quests that will guarantee you either a blue reward or at least a lot of experience.
By the time you, for example, reach level 82, you could head into the Stonecore. Here there’s going to be a quest chain that will eventually also allow you to pick one of these items. It could either be these Plate Shoulders, the glyph build or this amazing Caster Ring.
By the time you get to level 83, you could instead head to Uldum where you can do yet another Dungeon. The guaranteed rewards you can choose will be these Level shoulders for Rogues and Feral Druids, a pair of Plate Shoulders for Holy Paladins and also some male bracers for elemental shamans or restoration shamans.
The second quest will also allow you to choose a guaranteed reward. Either these Shoulders but also some Feeds for hunters or enhancement shamans. Not to mention these amazing Tank boots for any warriors, Death Knights or Paladins out there. For those of you, using the random Dungeon finder. You most likely also notice that you won’t be able to sign up to the Dungeon until you reach level 84 but also reach the required item level.
So if you’re lagging item level, then head to the Auction house and look for any rare items that can boost your item level. So you can also head into the Dungeon even quicker. This doesn’t mean you have to use the auction house no matter what. You could just skip using the random Dungeon finder and instead run to the entrance and make a pre-made group.
By using this method, it’s going to be a lot easier, as you won’t have to meet the required item level. So what you could be doing next is to head into Grim Batol in Twilight Highlands.

The rewards from the first quest are either going to be this Leather Helm, a pair of cloth boots and also Male Shoulders. But these WoW Cataclysm Classic gold are not the only rewards. You can also get male braces for Hunters and enhancement shamans. Leather gloves for balance and a powerful Plate Chest for tanks.

There’s going to be an arena quest chain you can do, where you will eventually also be able to choose one of these six weapons. However you will need to be a minimum of level 84 and assemble a party of at least three or more people.
In my opinion, I believe it will also be mandatory to complete the quest chain while leveling up. The reason why I mentioned this is that you will not only be able to get an amazing weapon. You will also gain a lot of experience at the exact same time. You should also be looking for guild, no matter if you’re going to play with them or not. As you will be gaining different perks.
For example, Mount up that will increase your Mount speed by 10% HD half that reduces the cooldown of your Hearthstone by 15 minutes. So this will also result in a 15 minutes cooldown.
And last but not least the Quick and the Dead, every time you die your movement speed will also be increased by 100%. So you can get to your corpse a lot quicker. Remember to keep any materials you find as you level up, whether it’s gathering materials or simply other things.
All of these things will be important to keep, so you can level up your own professions. And even if you don’t have these main professions yourself, then what you could be doing is to keep the materials or buy some of them at your Auction house.
And then find a crafter. Most of these items you can equip as you’re leveling up and by the time you’re level 85, you can continue to use them. As they will help you get into your first heroic, earlier in the passage I mentioned that Dungeons will be important to do as you’re leveling up, especially if you can get to do a random Dungeon.
As this will reward you 100 and 40 Justice Points when you complete it. And you can get this reward seven times a week. This currency will be so important to focus on, as it allows you to also get level 85 items.
So the moment you get to level 85 and if you have a high amount of Justice Points. You can instantly get yourself 346 item level equipment equal to what you get in a heroic. The maximum amount you can have is going to be 4,000 and I will have this myself the moment I reach level 85. So I can instantly purchase myself between two to three items. You can start questing in Twilight Highlands at level 84.
And the moment you reach level 84, I would highly recommend you to hit here right away.
The reason for this is that not only will you get the best possible items from the quest, but you will also get the highest item level. For example, a quest chain like this, where you will get 333 blue items. So try to complete as many quests here as possible. Even when you reach level 85 to continue farming reputation but also to finish the quest, change to get the rare items.
