    What is Thaely?  Business Model of Thaely

    Thaely is a startup founded by a 23-year-old Indian entrepreneur named Aksay Bhave in 2021. The company’s mission is to recycle plastic waste and turn it into fashionable sneakers. Thaely, whose name is derived from the word “polythene” (plastic bags in English), has gained widespread attention and praise for its innovative approach to sustainability.

    According to the brand, it takes 10 plastic bags and 12 bottles to make one pair of shoes. In just a few short months, Thaely has already made a significant impact on the environment by recycling 50,000 plastic bags and 35,000 plastic bottles.

    Thaely’s sneakers have proven to be extremely popular, with the company selling 1,500 pairs in just 3-4 months, far exceeding its initial target of selling the same number within a year. The shoes are priced at Rs.7000 and the founder hopes to sell 25,000 pairs this year.

    Thaely’s success has even caught the attention of Indian businessman Anand trails carolina investigation Mahindra, who praised the young entrepreneur on Twitter and expressed his interest in investing in the startup.

    It’s clear that Thaely is making waves in the fashion industry with its innovative approach to sustainability. By turning plastic waste into fashionable and stylish sneakers, Thaely is not only helping to reduce pollution, but it’s also proving that sustainability and fashion can go hand in hand.

    Akshay Bhave is the founder of Thaely, a vegan sneaker brand that repurposes waste plastic bags into sneakers. He is a social entrepreneur and designer from the United Arab Emirates, and is only 23 years old.

    Akshay received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management with a focus on entrepreneurship from Amity University Dubai, and also studied accessory design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

    Prior to starting Thaely, Akshay gained experience in the industry through internships at Creative ALÓ Media LLC, The AJALA Project, and ITP Media Group.

    In 2019, he won the Eureka startup competition at Amity University, and has exhibited his work at the Dubai Design District, Al Serkal Avenue, and Tashkeel Design Studio.

    Akshay is a talented and ambitious young entrepreneur who is making a positive impact on the world through his innovative business model. His dedication to sustainability and his passion for design make him a leader in the industry.
